About Coolum
The small township of Coolum is one of Australia’s prettiest (and friendliest) beachside towns. Located about 20km south of Noosa at the southern end of the long stretch of beach that makes up Sunshine, Sunrise, Marcus, Castaways and Peregian Beach, Coolum is a rapidly developing tourist centre. The rocky headlands create a number of beautiful and secluded beaches with some of the best surf on the Sunshine Coast.
Five-star resorts are only minutes away with many of their sporting facilities available to the public, the most popular being golf. The shops that line the main road through Coolum are famous for their ice-creams and smoothies.
Location: Coolum Beach accommodation 25–30 minutes drive from Hastings Street. Excellent swimming beach. Famous for its smaller coves and surfing.
